Google Calendar Readying for Offline Capabilities

You know what’s better than free? Free the way you need it! Google looks to be heading toward offering an offline version of it’s popular calendar program. Download squad alerted me to the news this morning and sure enough, I have the offline tab as well in my Google Apps for my Name.com account.
Name.com offers a tightly integrated Google Apps for Your Domain option and it looks like this new option will be available for those customers at the same time as regular old Google Calendar. While I’ve used Google Calendar for work because we’re a Mac/Google shop here, I’ve shied away from it for my personal needs because I can’t access it from offline. If this is true that may very well change my calendaring habits.
