With such a thriving tech community in the Denver/Boulder area, it was no surprise that PodCamp Boulder 2 was pure awesome. Especially since it was organized by (), if you’re not following him…you should be.

What is a PodCamp you ask?
It’s a very laid back, usually free, UnConference where social media enthusiasts and professionals get together to talk about various topics. It’s definitely not limited to just podcasting, so the name can be a tad misleading.
I sat in on some great sessions that ranged from International Social Media to Storytelling to Event Planning on a Shoestring Budget. It’s refreshing to sit in a room full of amazing people and openly discuss the various challenges we all seem to be facing in regards to social media. Whether it’s figuring out how to present your content to an international audience or what the best collaboration tools are for your company, the fact that we’re getting together as a community and talking through these issues is really something special.
While a good domain is certainly an integral part in setting up your website, there are so many other factors (SEO, design, etiquette, etc) that go into making it an awesome website. PodCamps are a great way to help you figure out some best practices on how you can show people that awesomeness. If you’re interested in checking out a PodCamp in your area, there is a list of upcoming UnConferences .
Cheers and happy PodCamping!
